Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure highest quality customer service standards are met and maintained by upholding Playhouse policies. Follow best practices in sales techniques and on an administrative level with fellow staff.  This position reports to the Ticketing Services Manager.


Must be professional and possess exceptional customer service skills. Ticketing experience preferred and computer proficiency required.  This position necessitates initiative and effective problem solving.  

Primary Duties:

  • Assist Ticketing Services Supervisor with daily Box Office operations, such as:

    • Master the utilization of Tessitura, our multifaceted ticketing system.

    • Assist in all ticket sales including, but not limited to; single tickets, subscriptions, packages, discounted promotions, small-group reservations, lodging partner orders, and complimentary ticket / voucher transactions.

    • Assist patrons and potential patrons in a positive professional manner.

    • Consistently handle high call and walk-up volume with accuracy and grace, while multitasking in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks to maximize efficiency.

    • De-escalate patron issues when applicable, maintaining a calm and helpful demeanor. Transfer calls for conflict resolution to a Shift Supervisor when necessary.

    • Assist fellow Box Office Associates with related duties as needed, including: responding to voicemails, assisting patrons with additional needs, and others as arise.

    • Follow proper sales procedures, using common language and marketing messaging for the theatre and for each show.

    • Assist in daily database cleanup and additional projects as assigned by Management.

    • Assist Front of House (FOH) staff to resolve patron issues on show days as needed.

    • Attend each performance within the first week of the show
