Minimum of Associate’s Degree or must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program.
Skills with Social Media required. Some marketing and event experience preferred. Must be professional and have excellent customer service skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Social Media Content Manager’s primary focus is to aid in all aspects of creating and collecting content and posting to social media platforms for the purpose of driving sales and building audience. Working in the fast paced Marketing and Public Relations (PR) Department, this position works in collaboration with the Marketing Design Manager and the Marketing and PR Manager collecting and creating content for all social media platforms, e-newsletters, playbills and website, as well as for all press relations and other Marketing Department needs as arise.
The Marketing and Social Media Associate will also assist with special events including opening night functions and other Marketing related events; organizing all mailings distributed from the Marketing Department; assist with press release writing, research, editing, delivery, follow-up and coordination of press kits; update and enter data to all on-line Calendars; other PR efforts, as needed.
Social Media – Content gathering, photography, videos. Awareness of the behind the scenes activities at the Playhouse and to capture information and images for PR and Social Media. Engage in more facetime with staff, cast, crew to organize and utilize to participate in social media outreach. Research optimal usage of social media to gain more followers to increase brand loyalty and recognition both in the public and throughout the industry. Work with marketing team to establish year-round social media timeline and communicate across departments. Utilize archival materials for social media and enews content.
Archive and Recordkeeping - Collect annual promotional collateral, historic archival collateral, online and press clippings and other collateral for use in social media posts, press, enews, website or other branding/promotional opportunities for the historic Playhouse.
Public Relations Support - Coordination of press kits; keep on-line event calendars and press list up to date; update and enter data to all on-line event calendars, assist with research and/or writing of e-news articles, playbill content, or other. Track poster distribution and assist with other PR efforts as needed.
Office Support – Filing, photocopying, data entry, record keeping, proof reading, and other office support as needed.
Event Function Coordination – Assist with all aspects of event coordination – invitation mailing and RSVP’s; attending and helping to oversee all Opening Night and other special events by greeting guests and press; setting-up and breaking down.
· Light lifting of objects up to 10 lbs. Event set up may include moving tables and chairs, as needed.
