Volunteer Coordinator / FOH Assistant

Seasonal Full-Time Position

The legendary Ogunquit Playhouse, located in beautiful seaside Ogunquit, Maine, is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator/Front of House Assistant.  If you like to be challenged in a fast paced, but satisfying and creative environment, this may be the opportunity for you!

The Ogunquit Playhouse is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization listed on the National Historic Register. Celebrating 87 years, the Ogunquit Playhouse continues to collaborate with Broadway, Hollywood and West End artists and partners, producing acclaimed revivals of Broadway classics, latest titles, and new works at its historic property on the Maine seacoast from May through October. In addition it produces new works readings and workshops in New York City, and a holiday show each December at the Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH.

The Volunteer Coordinator/Front of House Assistant position is a Seasonal Non-Exempt Full-Time position and reports to the Front of House Coordinator.  The primary role is to assist the Front of House Coordinator and ensure that all aspects of the Ogunquit Playhouse Front of House operations run smoothly.  This position assures volunteers remain properly staffed throughout the season and provides tracking and reporting on all Front of House activities.

The qualified candidate must be detail-oriented and organized and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.  They must possess the ability to recognize talent, as well as motivate and inspire others.  The ability to communicate effectively and exhibit professionalism towards staff and customers is essential.

Other requirements for this position include flexibility, patience and accountability.  Excel skills are required, along with the aptitude to learn the volunteer software database program and the Tessitura ticketing database system.
