The clock struck 11 PM at Elvis Presley’s Los Angeles mansion. Under the glow of red and blue lights, The Beatles stepped into a room that seemed to echo the future of music—a jukebox, a crescent couch, gaming tables, and a bar set the stage. Elvis stood at the center, ready for the convergence of two worlds. Passions and experiences were shared, music was made, deals were proposed, and egos clashed, on a night that rock ‘n roll royalty sealed its legacy.
Based on the book ‘Elvis Meets The Beatles’ by Christopher Hutchins and Peter Thompson.
Presented in association with In Fine Company.

Colin Carberry and Glenn Patterson
Book Writers
COLIN CARBERRY and GLENN PATTERSON (Book Writers) are the Bafta-nominated writers of Good Vibrations, the story of Belfast’s “Godfather of Punk”, Terri Hooley. They were commissioned by the Lyric Theatre Belfast to adapt the film for stage in 2018, a production that was subsequently restaged at the city’s Grand Opera House in 2023 before transferring to the Irish Arts Centre in New York, where it was named as a “Critic’s Pick” by the New York Times. It is a source of great delight to them both that what looked to the casual observer like sitting around listening to records all these years can now be revealed to have been deep research for bringing When Elvis Met the Beatles to Ogunquit Playhouse.
