Local Auditions

Ogunquit Playhouse is seeking Non-Union local youth performers for the roles of Jane and Michael Banks and their understudies/alternates in the holiday production of MARY POPPINS (December 2-20, 2026) at the historic Music Hall, 28 Chestnut St, Portsmouth, NH.

Rehearsals begin Tuesday, November 17. The show rehearses 10:00a to 6:00p weekdays and weekends in Ogunquit and Portsmouth. Detailed schedules and call times are set by Stage Management.

Auditions are by appointment only on Saturday, September 19 from 10:00a to 6:00p at The Colony Rehearsal Space, 48 Hartwig Lane, Ogunquit, ME 03907.

Schedule an audition time

Callbacks will take place Sunday, September 20 at 10:00a. Not all auditioners will receive a callback. Callbacks will consist of a movement combination, singing “The Perfect Nanny,” and reading sides in pairs.

Jane Banks/Understudy — The high-spirited daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Banks, she is bright and precocious but can be willful and inclined to snobbishness. She and her brother Michael misbehave in order to get the attention of their parents. This is a salaried position.

Michael Banks/Understudy — The cute and cheeky son of Mr. and Mrs. Banks. Excitable and naughty, he adores his father and tries to be like him. He and his sister Jane misbehave in order to get the attention of their parents. This is a salaried position.
