is one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of his generation, with a career in music spanning five decades. He is a member of The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, as well as a recipient of the John Steinbeck Award, ASCAP Foundation’s Champion Award, Woody Guthrie Award, Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Founders Award. Summer 2026 saw John embark on his 18 city “Dancing Words Tour—The Greatest Hits,” offering fans a rare chance to see him perform all his most beloved songs in a single night. He also comes off the recent release of John Mellencamp: The Songbook: 50 Years of Song and Poetry. The book, featuring a foreword from author Stephen King, finds John opening his archives and tracing his evolution as both a songwriter and poet.

Her plays have been produced in the United States, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Awards: MacArthur Award, Obie Award, Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, Fellowship of Southern Writers Drama Award, Horton Foote Award, Arts and Letters Award in Literature, and the inaugural Windham Campbell Prize for Drama. In 2025, Wallace was inducted into the Kentucky Writers Hall of Fame.

Richard has served as the associate on the Broadway productions of Elf, Come From Away, Company, Newsies, Jekyll & Hyde, and Il Divo: A Musical Affair, as well as the West End productions of Titanique and Here Lies Love. His regional credits include choreographing Newsies and La Cage aux Folles at The Muny, along with directing and choreographing various productions at Paper Mill Playhouse, The REV Theatre Company, La Mirada Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, Pittsburgh CLO, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, and more. His television credits include the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, America’s Got Talent, Encore!, and Bring It! is a guitarist, arranger, and producer, most notable for his work in the John Mellencamp Band for the past 30 years. He has also co-produced and played on the last seven albums by Ian Hunter. His other playing credits include Patti Smith, David Gray, David Johansen, Robert Plant, and Donovan.
