Meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names Audrey II (played by RuPaul’s Drag Race legend Latrice Royale) after his coworker crush. The foul-mouthed, soulful carnivore promises Seymour limitless fame and fortune, so long as he keeps feeding it HUMAN BLOOD. But as the killings increase in frequency and intensity, Seymour discovers this horticultural nightmare’s real plan is far more than he bargained for. This deviously delicious musical was born from the creative genius of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) and has been devouring the hearts of theatre lovers for over 30 years.

Audrey II
is thrilled to make her Ogunquit Playhouse debut, fresh off her third residency at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas as part of the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race: LIVE. Latrice captured the hearts of the world and earned the title of Miss Congeniality on Season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She then went on to appear in other incarnations of the franchise, including multiple guest appearances on RuPaul’s Drag U, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars (Seasons 1 & 4), as well as representing RuPaul’s Drag Race on Celebrity Family Feud. Currently, she is one of four hosts in the newest season of HBO’s Emmy-winning unscripted series We’re Here, now streaming on Max.
In January 2021, Latrice made history by becoming the first queen to appear in drag on the QVC network, while promoting Ruby Royale nuts by Squirrel Brand. Since that time, she has seen two successful runs on London’s West End Stage in DeathDrop. In addition to her guest star role on the Netflix series, AJ & The Queen, Miss Royale also served as a special consultant to the writers of that show, helping shape the script and her character of Faberge Leggs, which became a fan-favorite of the series.
The Large and in Charge, Chunky Yet Funky, Bold and Beautiful Queen has toured major cities around the world performing to sold out audiences, not only in group tours with her RuPaul’s Drag Race sisters, but in her autobiographical one-queen-show, Here’s to Life. In 2023, Royale toured more than 30 cities in North America with her debut solo tour Life Goes On, which she also self-produced through her company Latrice Royale, INC. / LRI Talent & Management.
Always eager to lend her voice to help her community, Latrice was especially proud to be a keynote speaker on the steps of the Florida State Capitol Building speaking out against anti-drag legislation as part of 2023’s Drag Queen March. Best known as a pivotal creative mind behind the renaissance of Disney animation and his work on The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Beauty and The Beast (which is dedicated to, “Our friend, Howard Ashman, who gave a Mermaid her voice and a Beast his soul”), Ashman’s first love was theater. Howard was a founder of Off-Off-Broadway’s renowned WPA Theater, where he conceived, wrote, and directed God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater, as well as the classic musical, Little Shop of Horrors (both with music by Alan Menken). In 1986, he wrote and directed the Broadway musical Smile (music by Marvin Hamlisch). Lamented as a lost treasure of the 1980’s theater scene, Smile remains popular on High School and College campuses throughout the country. She is currently on tour with The Cher Show as the Hair & Make-Up Supervisor. Thank you to my friends and family for supporting me in my career, even when I’m far away.
