About Us

Mission Statement

Building upon a legacy of leadership in American theatre, Ogunquit Playhouse produces world-class productions, educates people of all ages, cultivates new works for the stage, and preserves an iconic and historic playhouse for future generations.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA)

Ogunquit Playhouse strives to value and respect all people and celebrate all individuals regardless of age, race, ethnicity, class, spiritual beliefs, gender identity and presentation, sexual orientation, and ability. Our goal is to empower artists and staff of all backgrounds and skill levels who have suffered harm or been diminished by the privilege of others.

Our commitment to this work is an ongoing journey of learning that requires us to be humble, active listeners, and willing participants in making The Playhouse a safe and uplifting place of employment and a welcoming space for our audiences. By reflecting these values, we hope to foster a deep sense of belonging for everyone on stage, behind the scenes, among our volunteer corps, and all audiences.

We honor the original ancestors of this land and offer respect to our Maliseet, Micmac, Passamaquoddy, and Penobscot neighbors.
