MARY POPPINS Local Auditions

Ogunquit Playhouse is seeking male identifying local youth performers (non-AEA) for the role of Michael Banks Understudy for their upcoming production of Disney’s Mary Poppins to be presented at The Music Hall, 28 Chestnut St, Portsmouth, NH from December 2-20, 2026.

Role: Michael Banks Understudy – The cute and cheeky son of Mr. and Mrs. Banks. Excitable and naughty, he adores his father and tries to be like him. Both he and Jane misbehave in order to get the attention of their parents.

• Age 9-11 years
• Height requirement: 4 ft 9 in
• Vocal Range: A3-E5

A live OPEN CALL audition will take place Sunday, Nov 1, 11a-2p. Callbacks will follow at 2:30p, beginning with a movement call. Performer must attend callback to be considered. No self-tapes.

This is a salaried position at $500 week for rehearsals and performances. Performer must have their own local housing and transportation. Rehearsals begin Tuesday, Nov 17, during the day on weekdays and weekends in Ogunquit, ME.

Disney’s Mary Poppins will be Directed by Shaun Kerrison, Choreographed by Jeffry Denman, with Music Direction by Jeffrey Campos.
