2019 Auditions


The Ogunquit Playhouse at The Music Hall

Saturday August 3 and Sunday August 4, 2019

Calling all budding young thespians in the Seacoast Area!  Now is your chance to star
on New England’s finest stage in this beloved musical with a professional Broadway team! 

Please review all information carefully



-ANNIE: Preteen Female to play 11; Any Ethnicity. Vocal Range: A3 - High F5 with Belt.  Should be an excellent actress who can act motherly, independent, and hopeful. This role will be double cast.

-ORPHANS: Seeking 8 preteen females to play between ages 7 and 13; Any Ethnicity. Should be spunky, confident actresses, singers, and movers. Vocal Range: A3 - High F5 with Belt. These roles are not double cast.

-CHILDREN’S ENSEMBLE: Preteen Females and Males to play additional orphans and citizens of NYC; Any Ethnicity. Should be excellent singers and movers. This ensemble will be double cast.

Your child is required only to attend one day of auditions. Children should be prepared to be available from 10AM to 5:30PM for potential callbacks.

-Sign Up @ 9:30AM 

-Auditions 10AM to 1PM

-Callbacks 2PM to 5:30PM 


-SONGS: All children should prepare the ‘ORPHANS Tomorrow’ cut in the original key/octave. Female children should be familiar with the ‘ANNIE Tomorrow’ cut as well.

-SIDES: For potential callbacks, Female Children should be familiar with the ‘ANNIE Packet’ and FEMALE ORPHAN Packet. Male Children should be familiar with the ORPHAN ENSEMBLE Packet. 

*Children may audition holding music/sides if they are more comfortable

-FORM: Please download, complete, and bring the form on our website on your audition day. 



-Rehearsals: October, 2019 in Ogunquit, Maine. Technical rehearsals: Friday, November 22 - Monday, November, 25 in Portsmouth, NH. A rehearsal schedule is not set, but we will accommodate school schedules to the best of our ability.

-Annie runs for 4 weeks between Wednesday, November 27 – Sunday, December 22. Thanksgiving Day, November 28, will be a day off. View the full performance schedule at www.themusichall.org

-If cast as ANNIE or CHILDREN’S ENSEMBLE, your child will split their roles and participate in 2 performance weeks within the 4 week run, totaling 16 performances. If cast as an ORPHAN, your child will perform the entire 32 performance run and will be required to miss school accordingly.
