Belle Burden in Conversation with J. Courtney Sullivan

Ogunquit Playhouse and Perkins Cove Bookshop are thrilled to announce Belle Burden, acclaimed author of Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage in conversation with bestselling author J. Courtney Sullivan on the Ogunquit Playhouse main stage.

This event will take place Tuesday, September 1 from 2-4pm.

Belle is an author, attorney, and New York City native. Her debut memoir, Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage, published by The Dial Press in January 2026, debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. The book received a New York Times Editors’ Choice designation and was ranked #4 on Amazon’s Best Books of 2026 So Far. Strangers recounts the collapse of Burden’s 20-year marriage and its aftermath in five acts.

Courtney is the New York Times bestselling author of six acclaimed novels, whose work has been translated into 17 languages and appeared in The New York Times Book Review, The Chicago Tribune, New York Magazine, and more. Her latest novel, The Cliffs, set on the coast of Maine, has been celebrated for its rich storytelling, unforgettable characters, and deep sense of place.
